Overview

Al Furjan is a Nakheel master community in the Jebel Ali area of Dubai, covering about 560 hectares. The first phase was announced in September 2007, and its 800 villas and terraced homes sold within a week. It lies between Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), borders Jebel Ali Village and is close to Discovery Gardens, Ibn Battuta Mall and Expo City. Alongside Nakheel's villas, many of the apartment buildings were built by Azizi, with Danube and Deyaar among the other developers.

What makes Al Furjan stand out?
• Its own Dubai Metro station on the Route 2020 branch of the Red Line
• A mix of Nakheel villas and townhouses with apartment buildings
• Two retail pavilions inside the community for daily shopping
• Easy reach of both E11 and E311

Education
The Arbor School, which opened in 2018 and follows the National Curriculum for England, is inside the community, and Arcadia Global School is also listed in the area. Nurseries include Jebel Ali Village Nursery and Chubby Cheeks. Check current KHDA ratings before enrolling.

Healthcare
Medicentres has a clinic in the Al Furjan Pavilion, and other clinics and pharmacies operate around the community. Mediclinic Ibn Battuta and Aster Cedars Hospital Jebel Ali are a short drive away.

Transport & connectivity
Al Furjan Metro Station sits on the Route 2020 line built for Expo 2020, which connects to the main Red Line towards Dubai Marina and the city. By road, Sheikh Zayed Road and Mohammed Bin Zayed Road are both close, so getting to Dubai Marina, JAFZA or Expo City is straightforward.

Lifestyle & shopping
Pavilion Al Furjan and Al Furjan West Pavilion hold supermarkets including Spinneys, plus cafés and small shops. The community has parks and walking and cycling tracks, Jebel Ali Recreation Club is nearby, and Ibn Battuta Mall covers the bigger shopping trips.

Important note
Al Furjan has several developers, so check who built the specific building and how it is managed. Confirm freehold status and title with the Dubai Land Department, and for off-plan, verify RERA registration and escrow. Walking distance to the metro varies a lot by plot, so measure it from the exact building.
