Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT)

Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) is a freehold district of around 80 towers built along the edges of three artificial lakes, between Sheikh Zayed Road and First Al Khail Street, next to Dubai Marina and Emirates Hills. The first tower was completed in 2006, and the district is home to the DMCC free zone. Next door, DMCC's Uptown Dubai expansion is anchored by the 79-storey Uptown Tower, completed in 2023.

What makes JLT stand out?
• A mix of homes and offices in 26 clusters, each with its own parking and lakeside shops.
• Two Red Line metro stations, DMCC and Sobha Realty, on the district's edge.
• JLT Park, with jogging tracks, play areas and a dog park.
• Uptown Dubai's ongoing growth, including the Mercer House residential towers and new Grade A office buildings.

Education
There are no primary or secondary schools inside JLT itself, though nurseries such as Dewdrops and Learning Ladders operate in the clusters. Families usually look at schools in The Meadows and Al Barsha, such as Emirates International School and the American School of Dubai. Check KHDA ratings and the school-run time first.

Healthcare
Medical and dental clinics are spread across the clusters, and Mediclinic Meadows, Saudi German Hospital and Al Zahra Hospital Al Barsha are a short drive away.

Transport & connectivity
JLT has direct access to Sheikh Zayed Road and is linked through First Al Khail Street. Besides the two metro stations, the JLT Link electric shuttle connects the clusters to the metro. Dubai Media City is about ten minutes by car.

Lifestyle & shopping
Life here happens at street level: cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, salons and two Carrefour branches sit at the base of the towers, around the lakes. Uptown Dubai's open-air Plaza, opened in 2026, adds an events space, and Dubai Marina is next door.

Important note
JLT is a freehold area, but tower quality and service charges vary a lot from one cluster to another, so look at the specific building, its owners' association and maintenance record. For off-plan towers, including those in Uptown Dubai, verify DLD/RERA registration, the escrow account and the registered completion date, and check the walk to the metro from the actual cluster.
