La Mer (Jumeirah 1)

La Mer is a beachfront destination in Jumeirah 1, developed by Meraas. It covers about 13.4 million sq. ft, split into La Mer North and La Mer South, with views of the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline. Next to Al Badaa, Al Satwa and Al Wasl, it combines a public beach, dining and leisure with homes in Port de La Mer and other residential clusters.

Healthcare
Infinity The Family Medicine Clinic and Jumeirah American Clinic are in The Village Mall on Jumeirah Beach Road, and GMCClinics is also nearby. For hospital care, residents usually head to the established hospitals in central Dubai, a short drive inland.

Transport & connectivity
La Mer is about 16 minutes by car from Dubai International Airport. The nearest metro is Financial Centre on the Red Line, around 10 minutes by car, and several bus stops on Jumeirah Beach Road are within a few minutes' drive.

Lifestyle & shopping
The Village Mall, Palm Strip Mall and Jumeirah Plaza are nearby, and Jumeirah Mosque is a few minutes' drive. Rove La Mer, a 366-room hotel, sits on the beachfront, and Port de La Mer residents have access to a private beach. Etihad Museum is around 8 minutes away. Bayut notes that La Mer is undergoing major redevelopment, so some venues may be temporarily closed.

Important note
Check freehold status for your nationality with the Dubai Land Department before you commit, and do not assume every building in Jumeirah 1 follows the same rules. For off-plan units, confirm the project is registered with RERA and that payments go to its escrow account, and ask for the exact plot location.
