Overview

Jumeirah Golf Estates is a gated golf community in the Me'aisem area of Dubai, opened in 2009 and built around two Greg Norman championship courses, Earth and Fire. It was developed by a company of the same name, owned by Istithmar World, part of Dubai World. The community lies off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and along the southern stretch of Al Khail Road, between Dubai Investment Park and Dubai Sports City, with Dubai Production City close by.

What makes Jumeirah Golf Estates stand out?
• The Earth Course hosts the DP World Tour Championship, the season-ending event of the European Tour
• More than 1,500 villas, townhouses and apartments, spread across neighbourhoods such as Wildflower, Lime Tree Valley, Redwood Park, Sanctuary Falls, Whispering Pines and Cedarwood Estates
• Its own Red Line metro station, Jumeirah Golf Estates, at the northern end of the community
• Listed by Property Finder as a freehold community open to overseas buyers

Education
Schools within a few kilometres include Greenfield International School, Victory Heights Primary School and Dubai British School Jumeirah Park, according to Property Finder. Ratings and curricula differ, so check the latest KHDA inspection reports.

Healthcare
Everyday clinics and pharmacies are spread across the surrounding Me'aisem and Sports City areas, and Mediclinic Me'aisem is within a short drive. Check that any clinic you plan to use is licensed by the Dubai Health Authority and accepts your insurance.

Transport & connectivity
Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station opened on 1 September 2021 on the Route 2020 branch of the Red Line, between Dubai Investment Park and Al Furjan stations. By car, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road give quick access to the rest of Dubai, and Sheikh Zayed Road is also within reach.

Lifestyle & shopping
Golf is the centre of life here, but the green, low-density layout suits families who simply want space and quiet. Fairway Marketplace covers daily needs inside the community, and City Centre Me'aisem is nearby for larger shopping.

Important note
Plot sizes, golf-course frontage and maintenance costs vary widely between neighbourhoods, so compare them carefully. Confirm the title and freehold status with the Dubai Land Department, and for off-plan homes check the project registration and escrow account before paying.
